Setting up an email client such as Outlook

If you would like to collect your emails from a package such as "Outlook" rather than using Webmail this is quick and easy. Add your settings as follows;
For the example we will assume your website URL is www.mysite.co.uk and you have a sales@ address. We will also assume your ISP is btinternet
Server information
- Account type: pop3
- Incoming mail server: mail.mysite.co.uk
- Outgoing mail server: mail.mysite.co.uk
- Username: sales @ mysite.co.uk
- Password: the password you set up

Note: Depending on your ISP you might not be able to send emails out using the normal settings. This is due to the redirect rules which each ISP has. To change this follow the information below.
Server information
- Account type: pop3
- Incoming mail server: mail.mysite.co.uk
- Outgoing mail server: mail.btinternet.com
- Username: sales @ mysite.co.uk
- Password: the password you set up
Now you must set up the additional information.
Find a setting or tab that reads outgoing server, my outgoing server requires authentication
- Tick the box that reads: outgoing server, my outgoing server requires authentication
- Select log on using: and type your normal ISP username and password in the available boxes
Save these settings and your task should be completed.

Note: Depending on your developer and hosting account the above settings may not be applicable. Please see your developer if you have difficulty.
