Shipping zones
Your software comes complete with the ability to set up shipping zones. These are used to group your shipping costs and enable you to better assign the shipping rules to countries and counties in connection with shipping by weight or shipping by order value.
For your convenience, we have set up a few standard shipping zones in accordance with the main couriers within the UK. However, these can only be used as a base to set up any version of zone system you require. Additionally, you do not need to use these, you can opt to manually set your own zones to meet specific requirements.

Login to your administration area. Click on the tab "Members or Order" and from this page click on the link "Shipping zones" which can be found under the sub-heading "Orders".
When your main "Shipping zones" setting page loads you will see the key buttons; "add new". This allows you to manually create a new shipping zone "Set UK parcel force zones" which automatically creates the main core zones, based on Parcel Force's settings. Finally a "delete all zones" button will permanently remove "All" zones you have set up.
If you have already created shipping zones, you will also see a list of these zones under the main buttons. To modify a zone, click the appropriate "Modify" button. To remove a zone from your website click the appropriate "delete" button
Note: Shipping zones can be used to either charge amounts based on the order total "weight" or by the total "order value". The process is "identical for both", with the exception that a weight is used on one, and the order total on the other.
Current settings for this page are;
| Shipping zone name: | This is the name of the zone you will see within the administration area of your website and is not seen by the client. |
| Option title: | This is the name of the shipping option which is shown to the client. You can have three options per zone. An example would be standard delivery, next day, weekend delivery. |
| For every: | Here you assign a value either a weight or order total dependent on the shipping option you are using. This will be used if the order goes over your predefined rules. |
| Add an extra: | Here you assign a cost for the "for every" value, which will be used if the order goes over your predefined rules. |
| From column: | A value which is either a "weight is from" or "an order total" from, dependent on the shipping option used. An example would be from "0.001p" or "0.001 gram of weight". You "must start" the list with a small value such as the example. See using shipping options to learn more. |
| Cost column: | This is the amount you want to charge your client for the value entered in the "from column" |
