Payment Types
To sell from your site you need to choose a payment gateway and turn it on. You can have as many gateways as you wish in use at anytime. However, you must first register with the respective company.
Some payment gateways and versions require the use of SSL. This can be obtained through your developer who will set this up for you. It is worth noting, SSL is a separate service and there will be a charge.
Login to your administration area. Click on the tab "Settings" and then on the link "Payment types" which can be found under the sub-heading "Ecommerce".
When the main payment types window has loaded click the "modify" button next to the service you want to use. Each service has separate settings and these will be given to you by your payment gateway. Details such as what cards you can collect, your special usernames and pass keys will also be supplied. Add this information to the respective boxes and click "submit".
You can also elect to have a specific payment type only visible to logged in clients, based on their login level. Many payment types also offer a demo mode which allows you to test placing orders before going live.
Note: You must have at least one payment type turned on to be able to sell online.
