Handle every single aspect of your site
Featured Item
This allows you to showcase one product at the top of a particular section. This can be useful if you wish to show off a new stock range or bring a new product or offer to the attention of your clients.
You can have a completely different product on each and every product section if required.
Note: Before you can use this you must first ensure you have switched the feature on. To learn how to do this click here.
Login to your administration area. Click on the tab "Content" and from this page click on the link "Featured items" which can be found under the sub-heading "Products".
When the main "Featured items" page loads, a list of available featured items will be shown, assuming you have already set some up. Click the "delete" button to remove a featured item or click the "modify" button to change the assignment.
To add a new featured item click the button "add new" when your page loads you will be presented with several boxes.
Current options available to you are;
| Featured Item: |
This allows you to choose the item you wish to feature. |
| Show in section: |
This allows you to select the section you wish the above featured item shown on. |
| Show from: |
From here you can choose the dates you wish the featured item shown between. This allows you to automatically switch the item off and show another item without the need for you to manually change it. |
| Always show: |
If you wish a featured item to remain in place until you manually remove it, choose the option Yes - ignore date above. |
