Handle every single aspect of your site
Smart blogs and posts
The blog feature allows you to interact with your client base. This allows clients and visitors to give feedback and comments on posts they make. These can range from commentaries to new subjects and online dairies.
Note: To use this feature you must have first turned it on. You can do this from the settings area “turn features on or off”.
Each blog can allow users to post or prevent comments being displayed. Any post offered by a client or visitor is stored within your site and remains hidden from view until you have the opportunity to review it. You can then, edit the blog, remove it or show it live on your site.
Note: If you need to use sections to split your blogs up you will first need to create these. You can do this by clicking here.
To administer these settings login to your administration area. Click on the tab "Content" and from this page click on the link "Smart Blogs". This can be found under the sub-heading "Client Communication".
When the main “Smart Blog" page loads a list of Blogs will be shown. You can remove the blog by clicking the "delete" button or alter it by clicking the "Modify" button.
To add a new Blog click the "add new" button. You will have several options to complete.
| Title: |
This allows you to define a separate navigation name for the page. For example you have the page title of "about our software". This would be too long to show on the navigation section so you want a shorter name such as about us |
| Static name: |
Although your site works with dynamic pages (makes the page and contents in real-time) it is often better to use static page names for improved search engine placement. To take advantage of this feature type any page name you choose. For example you could use about us. Type about us.asp in the box. The software will clean up and convert the name to about_us.asp and make the file for you (if turned on). While making static file names, the software will scan your site to ensure the name has not been used already for another page. If it finds a duplicate page it will automatically rename the newest for you. It is important to note the static file name MUST end in .asp |

When a visitor leaves a post against one of your blogs it is stored to await your approval. To administer these click on the link “Blog posts” which can be found under the sub-heading "Client Communication" on the “content” page.
When the main “Blog posts" page loads a list of Blog posts will be shown. You can remove one by clicking the "delete" button or change what is shown by clicking the "Modify" button.
To add a new Blog post click the "add new" button and when this page loads you will have several options to complete as shown below;
