Shipping by a fixed price on individual products
The ability to ship products based on a fixed amount is placed within the main administration page for your products. This allows you to sell your products without the need for more complex shipping settings. This setting is ideal for clients who have a simple or small stock range and are selling to one country only.
To administer these settings login to your administration area. Click on the tab "Settings" and from this page click on the link "E-Qcart settings". These can be found under the sub-heading "Ecommerce".
Once your E-Qcart settings' page loads, scroll to the "payment and price section". Search for the setting called "shipping cost by", choose the option "individual costs" from the those available. Click the "submit" button to apply the changes to your site.
You now have to assign a "shipping price" for each item before the new settings will fully take effect. This is done by modifying a product and navigating to the "price and options" tab. Type in the shipping cost to the shipping cost field. Click the "submit" button when you are finished.
From now on the shipping will be calculated using the products shipping cost field.
Note: We "do not recommend" this option if you intend to sell to more than one country as the ability to assign a different price per country is not offered with this shipping option. If you are shipping to more than one country and you only need to apply a small extra fee to each country you "can use this shipping option" combined with adding a "handling fee".
