Setting up social networking
This feature allows you to place images, also known as social network icons, within your information and product pages. This allows visitors to share the relevant page with their chosen social network.
To begin using this feature you must activate it. Login to your website administration area. Click on the tab "Settings" and then on the link turn "features on or off". This can be found under the sub-heading "Site features & Layouts". When this page loads scroll to the area "item pages" choose "yes" from the "Use social networking icons" option. Click "submit" to activate your settings
Note: By using social networks you offer your clients the opportunity to do some free marketing for you.
From version 1.2.4 you will have the following features available to further administer the social networking icons and links.
Click the "Manage social networking icons" link which can be found from the main "Settings" tab under the sub-heading "Site features & Layouts".
When the page loads you will be confronted with a list of social network links and names. These are currently available to you and are shown on the relevant pages of your website.
If you wish you can remove a social network by clicking the "delete" button. To administer the name or link of a social network click the "modify" button.
To add a new social networking link click the "Add new" button and complete the options. Click the "submit" button when done.
Note: When uploading your social icons "make them all the same size" to fit your site design.
Current settings for this feature;
| Title / Name: | The text name used for the main text title and the ALT text of the image. |
| Link: | The full URL to the social networking page. |
| Order by: | This allows you to override the default order of alphabetically listing the links to any order you wish. |
| Show: |
This allows you to remove a link from the social networking area. |

Upload a social network icon to be shown on the client's side. |
| Show name: |
If you only wish to show the social icon and not a name choose "no" from this drop down. |
