Sell using a spot price
The spot price feature allows you to create several groups with a core price and then associate these with your products. With each product you can choose the mark up value and assign a group to it.
This feature is useful for products that often change from the base price.
To use this feature go to your site administration area. Click the "Settings" tab. From here "click on the turn features on or off" and find "use spot price" and choose "yes" from the drop down.
Once you have submitted the page you will be taken back to the main settings screen. Choose the link "spot price settings"
Here you can add, modify or delete any spot price you make. Add a name to identify it and the cost in the boxes provided.
Example: Gold £5.00
When you add or modify a product you simply choose the relevant options for spot weight, mark up and which spot price.
Example Spot weight = 4, which spot price = Gold and mark up 2
This would give the following prices;
- Cost: £20.00 (gold price £5.00 * weight 4)
- Price: £20.40 (gold price £5.00 * weight 4 + mark-up of 2%)
