Sell by the size of an item
A handy feature introduced in version 1.2.4 is the ability to sell one or more items based on size. An example is - if you sell windows, blinds, curtains or even wood, in fact just about anything that needs the price worked out based on width and height in square metres and a user input of mm.
Combine product options to sell extra items with this feature.
To use this feature you have to turn it on. To achieve this go to your turn features on or off and choose "Yes" from the "Use price per m²" option.
When you have turned the feature on, you can create or modify a product. Type the price you want to charge per square metre and choose "per m²" from the drop down menu.
When your client visits that product they will be asked to provide a width and height in mm. They then click a "calculate" button to obtain the price and can add the item to their basket.
