Redirect a 404 page not found

Over time you will remove pages and create others. Unfortunately, it can take many months, if not years, for search engines to remove these listings. This means clients who click the link, get either an error or a blank screen. If you have taken advantage of the custom 404 pages they will see a page informing them that the link that they previously used is no longer available.
Fortunately, we introduced a new feature "version 1.2.4" which enables you to go one step better and set up a redirection. Rather than the custom 404 page, you can direct clients to the new page, or at least to your home page. This not only helps in "SEO" but as your client gets to the correct screen you have a "better chance of keeping" them on your site.

Note: This feature only works if the custom 404 page is set up on your server. If in doubt please contact your developer.
In your main "redirect a 404 page" you will see a list of any presently redirected pages. From this list you can change whichever is to be the redirected page by clicking the "modify" button. To permanently remove a listing click the "delete" button.
To add a new redirect click the "add new" button. Type the old page in the "old page" box and the page you want to redirect clients to in the "new page" box.
Example format is (page names only ie without http ie) old = "page my_old_page.asp" and new page = "My_new_page.asp"
