Installation

If your website and hosting have not been pre installed, the following instrutions will explain to you how this is done. There are, however, a few procedures you must carry out before you can begin to use your newly purchased website.
If you have not already done so, please download your website package. This will have either been emailed to you or you will have been provided with a download link.
Your website download is pre activated. It contains your unique product key and company information. This will be supplied in a zip format.
Your first step is to unzip the contents of the zip file to an obvious location on your computer.
Navigate to your newly unzipped folder. You will see a folder structure similar to the one here.
Scroll through the top level files until you find the file that reads "installation.html" and double click this to open it in your internet browser. Unless you have been provided a separate zip file, along with your main site zip file, you can ignore step one of the instructions within the installation file and go straight to number 2.
Click the link shown on number two of the installation tips. "incmainsetttings.asp". This will open the main database connection file, either in Dreamweaver or in a notepad document.
From the options shown within this file, decide on the database connection type you wish to use, provided this is available on your hosting package. Type the location where you are going to upload the database.

Note: We recommend you use the full path option to connect to your database. This ensures that when you upload your database, you do so to a folder which is outside of the root. This is to prevent unauthorised access.
Once you have set your database connection save the file and upload all the files to your website. Ensure all sub-folders and files have also been copied to your server.
Once uploaded you will need to login to your website. You can do this by typing the following in to your browser's address box;
![]()
When you arrive at your login screen enter your username and password along with a security number. As this is the first time you have used your website your default password and user name are;
