Handle every single aspect of your site
Change field names in the admin such as product author, make and model etc

You can rename all administration fields by opening the core language files which are found in the main administration folder and then the sub-folder "inc".
The administration language file is in the following format, "languageadminxx.asp" - where xx is the country code. The client side language files can also be found in this folder. Use the following format, "languagefilexx.asp". Again where xx is replaced with the country code.
To rename these fields simply open the respective language file and search for "Author" You will see a line such as; "xxcatfd1="Author"" Replace the wording between the quotes with whatever you choose to use and change any others which you want, before saving and re-uploading to your site.

Note: It is "important" to note if you update your site your language files "maybe" overwritten reverting any changes that you have made to their defaults.
Your system has additional extra fields that can be used for any number of custom listings or to apply your changes to the main settings file, click here to learn how. To turn extra fields on please log in to your administration area and click the "settings tab".
Next, click the "turn features on or off" and scroll down to "Item page." Select yes from the drop down menu next to: "Use extra fields."
When adding a product or modifying one you will notice 6 spare product fields under the "Assign to, layout options" tab.

Note: If you wish to use quotes you must use double quote otherwise your site will stop working. An example is "xxcatfd2="The "main" Publisher"" is WRONG it would be written as "xxcatfd2="The ""main"" Publisher".
