Be smarter about deleting a page
At some point you may have to remove a page from your website. This maybe because the page is no longer relevant or was a one off sales item. Unfortunately, when you make a page search engines list it. The unfortunate part is when you delete it you are providing any potential visitor with an error page, instead of your well designed and fully functional site.
With version 1.2.4 you can now solve this problem. First you need to ensure your have asked your host to switch on custom error pages and that you have the correct page name set up "404page.asp".
Before deleting a page set it up in the "Redirect a 404 page" feature of your website and point it to the new page, your search page, or some content which is closely related. Once you have done this you can delete the page, safe in the knowledge that any one accessing it will be directed to the correct page without errors.
